Stellar Data Recovery Free Edition for Mac helps you recover up to 1GB of deleted files from a Mac or Mac-based external hard drive for free. The software allows you to scan a drive and preview all your deleted files before recovering them. You can upgrade to standard or professional versions for recovering files more than 1GB.
To recover 1 GB of deleted files for free using the software, do the following:
- Download and install the Stellar Data Recovery Free Edition software on your MacBook.
- Launch the software and, from the main screen, opt the file types and click Next.
- Select the drive from where data got deleted. Click Deep Scan, then click Scan.
- Click Deleted List tab, expand nodes, and double-click on any file to launch preview.
- Click the checkboxes beside any deleted files to select them, then click Recover.
- Click Browse to specify a destination to save the recoverable files, then click Save.
